Convenience Corner Store in Antigua Guatemala

Here’s your illustrated Guatemalan Spanish word of the day: Tienda for convenience store.

Tiendas are so common in Latin America and Antigua Guatemala is no exception. Often you can find several convenience store in a block. I don’t think 7 Elevens [US] or Oxxo stores [MX] will take a hold in Guatemala as the tienditas are peppered all over the country.

Of course, I might be wrong; what are your thoughts?
