Even though the government has been providing freely face coverings ever since it was instituted that face masks were mandatory and those who refused to wear them can be fined, a large fine I may add, Q7000 to Q150,000 [US$925 – $20,000]; Guatemalans didn’t wait to get a free mask, they bought masks according to their taste, style and economy. That’s why most of the photos shown so far as part of the Pandemic Photo Project have not included the government provided face masks.
Today’s picture shows a clerk at bakery wearing a government provided face covering.
How are things in your corner of the world? Has your government provided face masks for free during the pandemic?
