Enjoy Craft Beers and the Rooftop Vistas from Antigua Guatemala
Here’s your illustrated Guatemalan Spanish word of the day: Micro cervecería for microbrewery.
As I mentioned earlier this month, we are very fortunate to have so many microbreweries in Guatemala and three in Antigua Guatemala: Antigua Brewing Company, Antigua Cerveza and Cervecería 14. Believe it or not I was abled to visit all three Antigua Guatemala craft breweries this month, starting with Antigua Cerveza at the beginning of May; followed by today’s entry on Antigua Brewing Company. Stay tuned for the upcoming post on Cervecería 14.
Today’s photographs show the flight sampler from Antigua Brewing Company, ABC for short, with rooftop vistas to Calle del Arco [top picture] and Parque Central and the former cathedral [bottom picture]. ABC is centrally located, two block from Parque Central and two blocks from the Arco de Santa Catalina; no wonder you get fantastic views from its terrace. ABC is located on 3a calle poniente, between 5a and 6a avenida.
Here are the names of the craft brews shown here [lighter to darker]: Canchona [blonde ale], Shute [pale ale], chiripa [IPA], Fuego [IPA], Imperial [imperial stout] and Excelentísima [imperial coffee stout]. Antigua Brewing Company is also famous for their comfort food. One more thing, ABC also incorporated for lunch the delicious food from Le Comedor [follow the white rabbit, the link].
Thanks to some of the contributions readers like yourself make, I am able to keep AntiguaDailyPhoto.com online and keep you up to date with the newest foodie spots found in Antigua Guatemala.
