Enjoy Craft Beers and Volcano Vistas Around Antigua Guatemala
Here’s your illustrated Guatemalan Spanish word of the day: Sibarita is a combination of sybarite, epicure, gourmet and foodie plus a taste of the best things in life.
At the beginning of May, I set out to visit the three main micro breweries found in Antigua Guatemala and even though this month was one of the busiest I have ever had, I was abled to deliver on my word. In Antigua Guatemala, we are so fortunate to have so many foodie spots and these three microbreweries are an integral part of the sibarita experience in Antigua Guatemala. Antigua Brewing Company, Antigua Cerveza and Cervecería 14 provide the delictable experience of craft brews, tasty comfort foods and something else. In the case of Cervecería 14, we get fantastic volcanoes vistas, tables in green areas surrounded by avocado trees.
Today’s photographs show the flight sampler from Cerveceria Catorce [14], with vistas of Volcán de Fuego erupting above the avocado trees canopy [top picture] and a sample of the flavorful comfort food [bottom picture]. Cerveceria 14 takes its name for being so close to the picturesque Ruta 14 road. Cerveceria Catorce is actually located on Kilómetro 51.5 on Ruta 10, the road to San Miguel Dueñas.
Here are the names of the craft brews shown: Chela Guevara, Dale Pale Ale, Chelita Linda, Impunidad, Pinchazo and El Catrín.
Thanks to some of the contributions readers like yourself make, I am able to keep AntiguaDailyPhoto.com online and keep you up to date with the newest foodie spots found in Antigua Guatemala.
