  1. What a wonderful reconstruction! Not aware of what the original might have looked like; probably plastered-over stone, but this is beautiful work. None better than the architects and artisans of La Antigua Guatemala to carry out this type of project. You can even see this same quality in the arches and barrel ceilings of some of La Antigua’s fancier private mansions! We have cathedrals over here that were built over some centuries and maybe the delays occurred for the same reasons the Santa Clara Project is taking so long…..lack of funds at the appropriate time!
