Cathedral’s Arched Doorways

Cathedral's Arched Doors by Rudy Girón

It’s been a while since I shared with you a shot of a doorway. For a long time, doorways and windows used to be among my favorite things to photograph around Antigua Guatemala. Heck, I used to be regular contributor for Doorways Around the World. Anyway, believe it or not, I don’t think I have seen today’s photo ever. What about you, have you seen the photo above before?

Interesante, definitivamente una vista diferente de la catedral o desde la catedral

The doorway shot looks like the Cathedral has opened her two eyes to look back in the direction from where her photo has been taken so many times….but ironically, no-one is there!

Despite this being perhaps LAG’s most photographed building, I have not seen this view before. Except for the yellow Mini, it could be a scene from over a century ago. Always like the Jacaranda!

To second Geovin Morales, definitely a different point of view, and very nicely framed. I haven’t seen the inside of many cathedrals (a condition I’m trying to remedy), but from my limited peeks from the street, this one always looks incredible. A shot with lots of stories, Rudy, to be sure!
