We are so fortunate to have an amazing selection of lilies in Guatemala. If we call Guatemala the land of a thousand flowers, we would be selling ourselves short because I am sure we have tens of thousands.
By the way, this lily is growing very happily in our garden, flowering almost everyday. The flowers only last for a few hours, so you have to be on the look out to catch them as I did here.

Capturing this creates a fantastic picture, but we are forced to admit that nature is the best artist! Anything and everything grows in LAG!
Yeah, I am amaze how nature can give us so many beautiful things provided with the same three ingredients: sunshine, water and soil.
Beautiful! Isn’t this and orchid and not a lilly?
Maybe, but I am almost certain that it is a lili. 😉
I’m certainly not a flower expert, but found this picture in Bing search listed under lily flowers, citing Wikipedia reference…evidence favours lily. Picture is not nearly as good as yours Rudy!
See Manolo, El Canche found it listed under lilies. Thanks Canche.
I think it is an iris.
