Huevo Perdido Breakfast from Santa Clara Café

Rudy Giron: AntiguaDailyPhoto.com &emdash; Huevo Perdido

This quick snapshot of the huevo perdido, lost egg, breakfast from Cafetería Santa Clara, which is part of the new Panadería, Mercado y Cafetería Santa Clara, takes its name from fact that somewhere inside the bread is buried an egg. I take this opportunity to alert you that former Panadería Santa Clara, about a block south from Tanque de La Unión, moved a few houses closer to the corner and grew a small market and a restaurant. The food is delicious and affordable, this breakfast for instances is only Q20/$2.25 and includes all you can drink coffee and an entree on atol de platano [not shown in the picture]. Bon appetite!

  1. I hope you get a free breakfast (for life?) at the Panaderia Santa Clara for promoting them with these brilliant photos….you and food have definitely got something going! That’s some breakfast for the price.

    • I wish Canche, but I let them know about the post though. Now, this was a quick snapshot with the point and shoot and the light was not at its best, but you get the idea of what the breakfast looks like. Buen provecho.
