As I have mentioned before, most weekends in Antigua Guatemala are marimba days. There are quite a few places, private and public, where one can listen to live marimba music. One sure place to find live marimba music is at Calle del Arco on the weekends.

I always associate weekends and Sunday lunch at a hotel with marimba music and it really provides me with that “feel-good factor”…strangely, it seems out of character in the week and I don’t listen to it then!
I don’t associate marimba with weekends even though often time it is only time I hear, by pure accident, I must add.
I love marimba and it’s music. It’s a beautiful instrument.
