Portrait of A Guatemalan Grandmother

In a constant basis I add new portraits to my ever-growing series “Guatemalans.” Of course, abuelitas are well represented in the series. This is the latest picture of a typical Guatemalan granny who lives in the village of San Pedro Las Huertas, Antigua Guatemala. I really enjoy the portrait photography process as I get to engage in a conversation and get to know a little bit about the lives of the people I have captured with my camera. It is one of the best things, in my opinion, of doing portraits of strangers.
