Today I share with you how the world-famous Arco de Santa Catalina looks like with the fleeting stars Christmas lights surrounding the arch. This is a follow up post to the Fleeting Stars Christmas Lights at Calle del Arco I posted on December 4th. I hope you enjoy both vistas from Calle del Arco.
Yesterday I noticed how the municipal transit police closed completely the one block where the Arco de Santa Catalina is located. Honestly, they should have turned the entire strip of 5a avenida, from Parque Central to Iglesia de La Merced, into a pedestrian pathway, don’t your agree?

To finish the miniseries on The Arch of Santa Catalina, here it is the actual arch with white stucco and classic Antigüeño yellow bands. You can also appreciate the mildew and grime caused by the high humidity levels in Antigua Guatemala.
Oh how I wish I could capture in images the feelings, the energy and the tranquil atmosphere one gets while strolling around Calle del Arco. This warmly-lit late afternoon shot is the closest I ever gotten. Let me know what this images makes you feel?
