I don’t know who started the rumor that there’s a poor selection and quality of Guatemalan bread. I guess that if you really look, you can find an amazing variety of bread and high quality as well. In Antigua Guatemala we are so lucky to have a quite a few good panaderías [bakeries] such as Santa Clara, San Antonio and Doña Luisa, of course. What’s your favourite bread and bakery in Antigua Guatemala?

  1. Well, my favorite bakery shall remain a secret, but my favorite bread ? Probably the pan dulces that I buy, then forget about, then suddenly remember when I’m on that long camioneta ride out to Solola, ha-ha-ha. Those are definitely the best!
