Transnational: I’m loving it
The clown moves according to Antigüeño’s urban legend. Actually, there had been “sightings” of the McDonald’s clown moving through Latin America. I leave you with a couple of google-translated stories: 1. McDonald’s Against the World? 2. The truth of the McDonald’s case
Are there such stories in your part of the world?

That clown is possibly the most grotesque thing the Western culture has come up with. I detest it, it is scary, ugly, gross. Its hideousness is particularly highlighted by the beautiful surroundings pictured in your shot.

Fantastic photo for what it says ironicly. That horrible clown would rip down the forest in the background and put up feed lots for cattle, given half a chance.

Dear Rudy,
I’m afraid I don’t like this bench either. If MacDonalds wanted to donate benches to the community, fine. But if you need to sit in the clown’s lap for it, sorry no. To me this is the mark of American imperial colonialism at its worse. I agree with Anna that the scenery here is so beautiful that the clown just doesn’t blend in all. Thumbs down !!!
PS - no MacDonalds stories running here but did you know ? They are called Macca’s here !

The bench is inside the McDonald’s restaurant patio. I knew McD was going to touch a nerve…

We Norte Americanos manage too often to transport the worst aspects of our culture, primarily for commercial reasons.
