San Cristobal El Bajo Church in La Antigua Guatemala

San Cristobal El Bajo Church

Thanks to Juan, who asked me to go and take some photo of the San Cristobal El Bajo Church and its plaza which had been recently remodeled and restored, we have, yet another, picture of a church. Boy oh boy, how many churches are there really around La Antigua Guatemala?

Rudy, you cannot take too many photos of the churches in Guatemala. I love all of them, old, restored, crumbling, large or small. I hope you don’t run out of the subject of the chruches any time soon. How many churches are there around Antigua? How many ruins of churches?

Wonderfully composed with the roses in the foreground. and an intersting style of architecture.

It’s very pretty architecture. Yes, I’ll bet you have a lot of churches and chapels too. Not quite as many as bars though, I’m sure, if the usual ratio applies there as it does here! :)

Lovely! I like the mist coming down the mountain. A lovely scene altogether.

Great composition! I love the roses, the cross, and mist — and of course the subject, the church. Wonderful.
