You have to stop teasing the gullible gringos out there. You know as well as I do that the world won’t end on December 21. All that will happen is that someone will turn over that huge stone Maya calendar so that we can start the next calendar that’s already printed on the back. :0)
Besides, I’ve already gotten printed calendars for 2013. They wouldn’t have gone to all the trouble of printing them if they weren’t needed. :0)

The government of Guatemala takes great care with Antigua. Even if the world were to end, Antigua would still be here welcoming tourists.

Fuego seems to put on the best show for me between 7 and 9 a.m. It’s a good excuse to get up early … and to get a coffee, of course. Then again, I cannot really be seen in La Antigua without a coffee cup in my hand. It happens, pero … es raro, ja-ja-ja!
