Every July a book fair is set up at Parque Central as part of the patron saint festivities in Antigua Guatemala. Incidentally, Guatemala’s national book fair is also held between July and August. So if you like reading, this week is a great opportunity to buy some books at discounted prices.

This is one of the events I missed the most this summer (no money in my ‘travel fund’, I’m afraid), but I have discovered many fantastic finds at this book fair in years past. Including several volumes that my former Spanish professors would love to have, but shhhh! Don’t tell them! 😉
