New Mairmaids and Harpies Found in Antigua

Rudy Giron: Mermaids &emdash; Sirena del búcaro Casa González

Conferencia Las sirenas de Antigua Guatemala y sus antecedentes históricos dictada por Miguel F. Torres

Once again my photographic collection of mermaids and harpies from Antigua Guatemala was shown as part of the conference, “Las sirenas de Antigua Guatemala y sus antecedentes históricos” by Dr. Miguel F. Torres on May 22 at Museo Popol Vuh at Universidad Francisco Marroquín. Since the last time the sirens appeared in the Cultura supplement of Prensa Libre, I have added new images to the mermaid gallery. The colourful mermaids at the half fountain búcaro at the former Casa González located on 5a avenida norte between 3rd and 4th west streets and the harpy-siren at the washbasin water tank inside the renovated Casa Herrera, corner of 3rd calle oriente and 4a avenida norte in Antigua Guatemala.

I do hope you guys like the photographs of the mermaids and if you get a chance attend one of the conferences by Dr. Miguel F. Torres, Academia de Geografía e Historia de Guatemala. Below you can enjoy a mermaids slide show. Enjoy!
