Here’s you’re illustrated Spanish word of the day: Barbería for barber shop.

Sadly, many of the traditional barber shops of Antigua Guatemala are disappearing. There are still a few left, so next time you’re in town, get a haircut in one of them, or at least take a peak inside, just don’t it while driving; if you know what I mean.

Cinco de Mayo Aside: How do we celebrate 5 de mayo in Antigua Guatemala? Short answer, we don’t. In fact, most Mexican don’t either. 5 de mayo is a celebration about good Mexican drinks and food in the United States.
