Be part of the most photogenic Day of the Dead event in Guatemala

The festival of Barriletes Gigantes of Guatemala takes place in at least three villages of Sacatepequez: Santiago Sacatepequez, the original and most authentic location, Sumpango and Santa María Cauque. To me the most photogenic place is Santiago since the giant kites are flown over a Mayan graveyard. This festival is full of color and hundreds of photo opportunities 360˚ all around you.

This is why I organized a photo tour day to visit Santiago and La Antigua Guatemala cemeteries. Be part of this amazing Día de Muertos in Guatemala.

This November 1st, from 8am to 4pm, we’ll venture into the Mayan graveyard of Santiago Sacatepequez to capture the marvelous Giant Kites of Day of the Dead and the festivities of All Saints Day in the Necropolis of La Antigua Guatemala. There will be food tasting of fiambre, a Guatemalan delicacy prepared especially for the occasion.
