Day of the Dead Photography Workshop

Day of the Dead Photography Workshop with renown photographer Rudy Giron

As part of the Day of the Dead photography workshop on November 1st, we shot two Mayan graveyards one Spanish cemetery; giant kites on display and flying, fiambre preparation with a family who have been doing for over 45 years; a special All Saints Day procession in Antigua Guatemala plus sawdust carpet-making process themed around Day of the Dead; all kind of street vendors in Santiago Sacatepequez, the birth place of the giant kites. It was an intensive 10-hr photo exploration and workshop. The photographers who participated and their camera batteries were drained at the end of day but with satisfied souls and full of photographic memories. I am already taking bookings for the 2019 Day of the Dead photography workshop in Guatemala. Book your spot today as spaces are limited.

Also, thanks to the German Photo Agency DPA, the photograph below and other 8 images were published by many newspapers and online media websites around the world.
