Leaders of Guatemala’s Independence Movement
I was lucky to get some pictures of the representation of the Leaders of Guatemala’s Independence Movement (actually, to be fair, I should say Central America’s Independence).
There were about twelve or so young people dressed up like in colonial times, just about Guatemala’s Independence date of 1821, who represented the Próceres de la Independencia (leaders of the independence movement) who were being filmed by some local television channel.
Have a happy Guatemala’s Independence Day everyone!
Let me know what do you think of this photo; should I have done it in sepia?

The photo caught my eye on CDP thumbnails. It’s just beautiful with the creamy arches & the grouping is just right. I like it very much just the way it is.

Loved the picture. Also, I just received the prints I ordered. They look absolutely amazing, but I do have one regret. I should have ordered bigger photos. =-)
Seriously, Rudy, you do some amazing work. Please keep it up.
Tonight we will be celebrating Independence Day with some home-made Tamales Colorado and Atole.

Noooo… the cream tones are great, sepia would have not made honour to this beautiful picture (I think it would have looked tacky).

I agree w manolo, the cream color of her dress is so rich, I’m afraid sepia wouldn’t do it justice. It’s beautiful.

Ok, now I have to go find out why Guate has the same independence day as we do here in Mexico. And no sepia. This is amazing as it is.
