I love the cars in La Antigua. I’ve seen Datsuns from the 60’s, early Mazda products, many cars I had only seen in photos before my visits. My favorite, though, is the 69 Chevelle that parks near El Cazador Italiano. My Dad used to have a 69 Chevelle SS; it was the first car I remember riding in. Seeing the Chevelle in La Antigua made me cry a bit…I wish my Dad could have come with me to see Guatemala. Dad and the car are both gone, but I have to say this : there may be a tile-roofed house in La Antigua in my future, but there will also be a 69 Chevelle in the garage. ;D
