2015 Carrera de las Charolas in Antigua Guatemala

Not often we are fortunate during an Antigua Photo Walk to have the opportunity to photograph such an unusual and unique event as the world-famous La Carrera de las Charolas (The Tray Run), organised, as every year, by La Fonda de la Calle Real. For this race, we chose several angles, a street level with the Real Palacio de los Capitanes as backdrop for the women’s race and a high vantage point from Palacio del Ayuntamiento for the men’s race.

This is such a cool event to photograph, as mentioned by the jealous Pinar Istek, a few years back. If you would like to see more images, let me know and I will update the post with additional photographs.
