Some people believe that Maya people don’t like to be photographed. My experience has been quite the opposite, but I guess it’s all in the approach. Well, what would the aforementioned people think of Mayas making family portraits on public spaces? I would like to know your thoughts as well.
Fresh mojarras fritas, or fresh fried tilapias can be found anywhere in Guatemala. Mojaras fritas are the Guatemalan equivalent of fish and chips. Most restaurants sell a plate like this one for about Q100/$12.50. Buen provecho!

Navidad or Christmas is an easy-going day in Antigua Guatemala. Except for the burning of firecrackers and fireworks at noon and at 6pm and mass services, the day goes by in recovering mode from parting all night long.
