Mini Cooper in Antigua Guatemala

Is it just me or there’s an influx of English vehicles in Guatemala. Just two weeks ago we saw the Land Rover Defender in the photographic stream of AntiguaDailyPhoto. Two Triumph cars appeared in GuatemalaDailyPhoto in the last of couple of days, a white and a red versions. And now I spotted this gorgeous Mini Cooper on the streets of Antigua Guatemala. I fell in love with the Mini Coopers after having watched the 1969 film “The Italian Job” about years ago. I decided back then that when I grew up I would have a Mini Cooper as my day-to-day car. 😉

Finally Guatemala is falling in love with “things English”! This is fitting, as I, being English, fell in love many years ago with “all things Guatemalan” including my gorgeous (she really is!) wife of 27 years and her lovely family who treat me like royalty. Even one of my long-standing Guatemalan friends leases a Jaguar for his personal transportation.
I think it’s time we declared an “Entente Cordiale” and realise it’s people, not politics that determine the quality of international relationships!

  Canche, I am with you about the “Entente Cordiale.” By the way, I am still searching for a good venue where to have fish and chips. Epicure has the best thus far, but very expensive. 🙁

hmmm..technically British not English. Though German-owned they make them in Swindon/Birmingham. Land Rovers also Birmingham-made, but owned by Tata an Indian firm.
