Here’s your illustrated Spanish word of the day: Hojalata for tin. Today I share with you a vista of a tin handicraft artisan at work in San Gaspar Vivar. Even though this village is quite small, there are many artisans, handicraft makers and jewelers in the aldea of San Gaspar Vivar, Antigua Guatemala.
Even though the façade of this parish looks like a ruin, it is an actual temple still being used. Some of you commented that the Moorish baroque architecture of the Parroquia de San Pedro Las Huertas looks like a wedding cake. Well, what do you think this façade looks like?
You can find this vertical garden wall in the village of San Gaspar Vivar, about 3 kms from the heart of Antigua Guatemala.
