Volcán de Fuego seems to be more active during the dry season that spans from November through April, but the reality is we are just able to see more eruptions as the skies have less clouds, a lot less clouds during those months.

The dry season also brings an increase in the activity of Fuego volcano. Recently we have experienced the roaring sounds, explosions, lava rivers and fumarole activity of Volcán de Fuego. Sometimes, all the windows shake and vibrate with the expulsions of Fuego volcano. It’s a quite a show to say the least.

Here are the first images I taken of the recent eruptions of Volcán de Fuego taken from Antigua Guatemala tonight. I was alerted by Norman Avila of ClimaYa.com through a tweet about Fuego volcano erupting and within minutes I was taken this photographs of the fireworks show put up by colossal volcano located about 20 kilometres south west of Antigua Guatemala.
